Our publishing company is evolving into a platform for global advocacy. We want to make a difference when it comes to literacy, and we want to help others do so as well.

My dad, author Sam Baker, was the founder of Sam Baker Books. He published five children's books starting at the age of 95, and he actively ran our publishing company right up until his passing at age 102.

Amazing, right? He was a role model for us all.

During his book tours and interviews, Sam often talked about his struggles with reading as a kid. He explained that the right books -- those he could read and decode with his dyslexia -- opened doors to new ideas, creativity, and imagination.

Sam Baker promoted literacy, love of books, and making reading fun and accessible to everyone.

My dad believed, as I do, in literacy for all.

Today, my dad’s legacy continues to another generation.
